On October 27, 2026, at 11:49 AM, Monroe Police Detectives stopped a vehicle related to a previously reported vehicle fire in the 900 block of E. Fourth St., which was suspected to be arson. The 44-year-old male driver was cooperative with detectives and, after questioning, later admitted to his involvement in starting the fire.
